Breaking: OAU releases first batch of 2018/2019 admission lists.

OAU KILONSHELE has confirmed that Obafemi Awolowo University has released the first batch of candidates admitted for the 2018/2019 academic session.


It should be recalled that last Wednesday, this news outfit reported the possibility of the university authorities releasing the admission lists very soon.

Attempted robbery; OAU Students, residents worry amid inadequate security

Peter Oyebanji Students of Obafemi Awolowo University and residents of Akrabata, the area where police foiled an attempted robbery on Monday, have expressed their worries on inadequate security in the area. It should be recalled that this news outfit reported the attempted robbery and how it was interrupted by the Police. According to an eyewitness account, the bandits who were sighted around 12:00pm were shooting sporadically in the air before the security operatives resisted their operations at the Ile-Ife branch of Diamond Bank. When the Ife Police Area Commander, Funsho Adegboye, was contacted he said,  "there was an attempted robbery and based on the information that the public gave the police, we gave a hot chase."
